Cheer & Dance Extreme and Cheer For A Cause Join Peyton’s Promise UPA’s Adoption Initiative

Minneapolis, Minn. (March 4, 2011) – Cheer and Dance Extreme and Cheer For A Cause have joined UPA in raising funds and awareness for Peyton’s Promise an Adoption initiative.

After reading articles in Inside Cheerleading Magazine, Cheer For A Cause contacted UPA’s president, Lisa Saline, about getting involved. Saline was moved when the call came in from Julie expressing her strong desire to help spread the word about Peyton’s Promise. “Peyton’s Promise is an amazing cause and your story will bring a warm smile to everyone. Glad we can help.” said Julie Bolton.

Days later Cheer and Dance Extreme also contacted UPA and wanted to jump on board to help spread the word and raise funds for Peyton’s Promise. “I just read what you are doing – AMAZING!!! Love it. I would love to do something to help. We’d like to put something out at our Nationals at the end of March to help collect funds. Whatever we can do … just name it.,” said Ann Lehrmann, president of Cheer and Dance Extreme.

UPA’s founder and president, Lisa Saline, helped develop the program after adopting a baby girl in 2002 and quickly finding out how expensive the adoption process can be. Lisa and her husband, Roger, wanted to find a way to help those in need. At the 2011 AmeriCup Nationals in Minneapolis, UPA donated $1 from every athlete package sold to the cause. During the weekend, Inside Cheerleading Magazine and Fine Designs Imprinted Sportswear accepted donations on behalf of the charity during UPA’s AmeriCup, and everyone who donated had their name proudly displayed on a butterfly decal (signature of Peyton’s Promise).

UPA is thankful for the generous support from media outlets around the country. The exposure has been fantastic and the word is getting out about UPA’s mission. This collaborative effort by amazing companies hopes to Bridge A FOREVER Family many times over.

By donating to Peyton’s Promise, every dollar brings one family closer to finalizing an adoption. To make an online donation or for more information on Peyton’s Promise, visit http://PeytonsPromise.net.

About UPA…

United Performing Association, Inc. began in 1987 with a young girl’s dream. Lisa Kubinski Saline was a twenty year old college student cheering professionally for the Minnesota Vikings, coaching a collegiate cheer/dance team in Minnesota and soon to graduate with a degree in Public Relations, Marketing & Speech Communications. Her dreams of owning her own business were encouraged by her father, an entrepreneur himself. So with a limited budget Lisa began UPA in the basement of her home. Twenty-four years later, Lisa and Team UPA have developed the company into one of the nations top contenders in the spirit industry. With traditions and a strong value system in place, UPA has become a household name around the spirit world with events such as the AmeriCup Championship, Easter Cruise Competition, Judge Certification Program, Eclipse Cup Studio Competitions and the Challenge Cup series to name a few.
