Roethlisberger to do meet-and-greet autograph session with Inside Cheerleading subscribers on Saturday, February 19th
Atlanta, Ga. (February 16, 2011) – Inside Cheerleading Magazine is proud to announce that three-time Olympic gymnast John Roethlisberger, a four-time U.S. National Champion and three-time NCAA Champion, will join the Inside Cheerleading magazine team for a special meet-and-greet session at CHEERSPORT Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.
A special meet-and-greet autograph session will be held for subscribers on February 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Inside Cheerleading magazine booth (B5-5) in the CHEERSPORT Mall at the Georgia World Congress Center. Current subscribers of the magazine are invited to attend. For those interested in subscribing and attending the autograph session, subscription sales will also be available on site at the booth.
“John Roethlisberger has been contributing to our sister publication, Inside Gymnastics magazine, for years,” commented Inside Cheerleading Publisher Chris Korotky. “With his passion and personality, John was always known as the ‘heart and soul of USA Gymnastics.’ He represented the USA at the Olympic Games, the highest level of the sport, on three occasions and was also recognized with the Nissen-Emery award during his NCAA days, the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy for gymnastics. We’re excited to offer fans and subscribers a chance to meet this sports superstar! John competed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, and this is our hometown as well, so it’s great that this all comes together at CHEERSPORT Nationals right here in Atlanta.”
As a member of the USA National Team from 1988 through 2000 as well as a member of six World Championship Teams and a member of the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympic Teams, Roethlisberger is one of the most accomplished male gymnasts in American history. Roethlisberger rewrote the collegiate record books by winning four Big Ten all-around titles and three NCAA all-around titles and is the only gymnast in history to accomplish both. Since his retirement from competition in 2000, Roethlisberger has worked as a performer, commentator, coach, judge, athlete representative and is a member of the Board of Directors for USA Gymnastics. In 2005, he partnered with John Macready, creating Flip Fest, one of the top resort gymnastic summer camps in the country.
