National Advisory Board Nominees

The NAB is the democratically elected Board within the USASF that determines the agenda for the organization moving forward. Virtually every major initiative of the USASF in the past 5 years started with, or was significantly improved by, the work of the NAB.

USASF LogoThere was a primary election this year because of the large number (64) of nominated and qualified candidates. With 880 total votes cast, the election was very close in every race.

Announcing Cheer Talk

ATLANTA – Inside Cheerleading Magazine and CheerXm1.com are thrilled to announce a partnership to produce “Cheer Talk: The Radio Show for Cheer”. The duo will produce four shows at events across the country hosted by Melissa Hay, president of CheerXm1 and Shane Womack, Associate Publisher of Inside Cheerleading Magazine.

Cheer Talk LogoThe show will launch via CheerXm1.com with the first show airing Sunday, December 11 from California. The hour long show will include some of cheerleading’s biggest names as guests on the talk show as well as a look at results and trends across the country, team placements and the battle for bids on the road to the Cheerleading World Championship in April.

“We are excited about this partnership and a new way to deliver our coverage of cheerleading to a new level,” says Shane Womack, Associate Publisher for Inside Cheerleading Magazine, “Cheerleaders sleep, eat, and breathe cheerleading and our partnership with CheerXm1 will be a great way to give these athletes and fans just a little bit more from the cheerleading world.”

“This is a fresh approach to the competition event,” says Hay, President of CheerXm1.com, “it’s one thing to watch the routines or to read the social media post but it will be a different approach to hear about the event from those participating and competing.”

Inside Publications Names Womack Associate Publisher

ATLANTA, Ga. – July 18, 2011 – Shane Womack has been named Associate Publisher for Inside Publications, which produces Inside Cheerleading, Inside Gymnastics, and Inside Volleyball magazines. In his new position, Womack will direct sales, marketing, and partnership efforts for the company and its titles.

“I’m thrilled to take on a new leadership role at Inside Publications and I look forward to continuing to build great programs that put our magazines at the forefront of information and entertainment for the cheerleading, gymnastics and volleyball markets,” said Womack. “We have some amazing advertising and promotional partners and I’m excited to continue working with them to create and execute powerful campaigns.”

Womack has been with the company since 2006 and previously served as Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.

“With the growth of our gymnastics and cheerleading magazines and the launch of our volleyball publication this year, the addition of an Associate Publisher position was important and Shane was the perfect fit for the job,” said Chris Korotky, President of Inside Publications. “Shane has been a loyal and valuable member of the team and has done a great job working with our partners and I know he’ll continue to excel as Associate Publisher. I’m looking forward to all of his contributions in this new role.”

Womack received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Louisiana State University where he was a member of the varsity cheerleading team. He was also a high school cheerleader and mascot and was a competitive All Star cheerleader with the renowned Central Mississippi Cheerleading program.

Each year, Inside Cheerleading Magazine names the team after evaluating nominations from college cheerleading coaches coast to coast.
