We’ve been told the University of Alabama cheerleaders will not be allowed to compete next season. Rumors as to why center around a high ranking athletic department official, who recently came from Florida State, not being a supporter of competitive cheerleading. We haven’t heard any rumors implying the decision was based on any inappropriate actions by the squad.
It will be interesting to see the impact this has on the cheerleading program at Alabama and the competitive landscape if the Alabama kids decide to look elsewhere.
